Taking the role of Peter Parker once again from the Amazing Spider-Man movie franchise. In the Amazing Spider-Man 2, You swing heroically thru the city unless your menace meter says otherwise then all of New York hates you. Seriously when it gets late game it gets really annoying as there are so many problems showing up that you can’t handle anymore which basically gives you a reason. Simply not to try helping anyone anymore.
Despite that one major downer the story overall is fairly nice as are the controls although they can be quite buggy at times. Get it? Buggy? Or was that joke too corny either way the controls tend to bug out mainly if you are trying to climb and it turns into running.
The musical score for the game is fairly good and really enjoyable something you could possibly get away with buying the entire soundtrack for. The game itself is pretty great although the boss battles even in easy mode can be very hard for people even experienced players can have a hard time sometimes.
Another issue in the game is if you stop a crime in progress regardless of the crime you will always get a cut scene for it and it wastes a good ten to thirty seconds loading up if you don’t stop crimes in progress it just adds more to your menace bar.
Is the game worth it, if you are a fan of the Spider-Man franchise and want to play a Spider-Man game totally go for it. Heck if you are a fan of the Batman Arkham franchise same deal go for it the combat controls are pretty much the same. The only real difference is that Spider-Man has more ranged fighting options compared to Batman’s infinite Batarangs.
