StevenCurryMy first impression of NBA 2K16 was that the graphics looked very good. At the same time, I felt the game’s pace was a little slow (player’s movements, etc.). But I guess if you want it 100% realistic, that’s what you get. I would prefer it to go faster and with more flow.

2k-title-image-600x300Shooting the ball wasn’t very fun at all. You load up a power meter, aiming for the middle to get the best shot, and again the flow of the game seems altogether slow and boring. As for dunking, they should have included more possibilities to make your shot (multiple choices) rather than using the main shooting button for dunking. It’s like you feel locked in the game in the things you do…dunking, shooting, defense, it should feel freer and be more fun to control. I was fairly satisfied with the passing and dribbling. It felt better and the flow of the game was faster, too. The shooting mechanism, along with dunking and defense should have been made differently so it doesn’t feel so slow and still. It makes it really boring and not fun to play. There are other game options where you can play 1-on-1 or up to 5-on-5. It works like a practice mode where you can train your skills. The game gets a little more fun when you get the hang of everything (which is a lot if you want to master all of it), but it’s not worth the effort as it’s not fun enough, even when you know it all. So don’t waste your time. You can train your dribbles, passing, defense, shooting…basically everything in the game. The career mode feels long and drawn out. It tries to give the game a deep story, but it ultimately fails.

Let us not forget the online mode. Here you can play matches against other people around the world. You start at the lowest-ranked league and you can work your way up to the best (typical of sports games such as FIFA every year!). Overall this title offers nothing new, but it could be fun if you’re not tired of it yet; but probably not because of the gameplay. It really ruins a lot that the play of NBA 2K16 is no fun because that’s the most important element to have in place. But it’s not there…and it fails. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere.

Those are our reasons why the game is bad, and why we don’t like it.
If we said we found the announcers annoying and irritating and there is no way to turn them off as well as the sponsored by Gatorade bit. Most NBA fans would just go on about how “that’s how the game is suppose to be.”

Take it with a grain of salt, the game is sluggish runs slow and that is on a high end computer.
The overall quality of the animations is complete rubbish as is a lot of the voice acting for the game.

Those are some more reasons if you want.
