First up is our disclaimer. We got this game because we wanted to review it, and as such
all views in this article our are own. No money has been exchanged for this review.
The Desolate Hope is one of Scott Cawthon’s original games before he made the hugely popular game franchise called Five Nights and Freddy’s. Which by the way now will be getting
a Hollywood movie. In the game you follow a lone coffee pot defending the digital space around you every night from virus’s, Trojans, well the list continues and during the day you are scavenging toys and trinkets from outside to appease your robot overlords. Well their more like giant robots who’s processing power is used to run algorithms and also fight ridiculously awesome boss battles in a Saga Frontier kind of combat system.
You can also explore each robots personal home built in digital space and defeat robots in a Mega Man’esq battle as you journey to make friends and defend the place. Control wise the game runs just like any other adventure and combat type game. An its interesting mechanics make for interesting gameplay.
I said it once though and I’ll say it again; If you judge a book by its cover you will be disappointed as this game was one of our very first reviews. I saw it and wanted to give it a try cause it looked interesting. Once I started playing it I absolutely loved the game and I still think its a amazing game.
Do I recommend getting The Desolate Hope? Yes, I do recommend getting it if you are a fan of RPG’s if not and you are only a fan of getting scared than check out Five nights at Freddy’s if you haven’t already.
